Within the framework of the Project “Strengthening the Internationalization Capacity in New Higher Education Institutions in Vietnam - STRIVE”, on June 23, 2025, the delegation of Quang Ninh University of Industry (QUI) led by Dr. Pham Duc Thang, Vice Rector of the University, as head of the delegation attended the International Workshop with the theme “Workshop on leveraging the mobility experience of students and staff” at Tuscia University, Viterbo City, Italy

The workshop had the participation of organizations and higher education institutions that are partners of the STRIVE Project, including: AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Organization - Italy, University of Évora - Portugal, Hanoi University, Vietnam Academy of Public Administration and Management, Quang Ninh University of Industry, Phu Xuan University - Hue and the host unit is Tuscia University, Italy.

The workshop is part of the work package 4 of the STRIVE Project on capacity building to leverage the mobility experience of staff and students to provide an overview in preparing the KA1 mobility project (Key Action 1), in which the context, conditions for implementation strategy and necessary support activities for the exchange of staff, staff and students between Vietnamese and international universities are analyzed. In addition, the workshop is a discussion session on the proposal for the future CBHE project to reach agreements from the meeting in Evora, Portugal from March 2025 on building a new project in the field of sustainable tourism; at the same time, discussing the sustainability of the STRIVE Project as well as building a database to establish a Virtual Center for Internationalization in Hanoi.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Pham Duc Thang, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized the positive impact of the Project on the innovation career to improve the effectiveness of training, scientific research and international cooperation of Quang Ninh University of Industry.

After 18 months since the start of the Project implementation in January 2024, Quang Ninh University of Industry signed a Partnership Agreement with AlmaLaurea Inter-University Organization, Republic of Italy - International Coordinator of the project; Participated in publishing the project website at https://strive-project.eu; Participate in developing and issuing the Project quality plan as well as participating in the work packages implemented in the Project and developing the project quality report for the first period. Participating in the STRIVE project helps QUI expand international cooperation, improve management capacity and contribute to the overall development of the modernization of higher education in Vietnam.

Working session scene
The STRIVE project (2024 - 2027) aims to improve the capacity for internationalization and modernization of international cooperation in Vietnamese universities. The project also promotes connections between higher education institutions in Europe and Vietnam. The STRIVE project complies with the objectives of the Erasmus+ CBHE Programme, creating conditions for higher education institutions in Vietnam to access opportunities from the Erasmus+ Cooperation Support Fund.
